11 Tips to maximize your safety during your holidays in Croatia this year

It is worth reiterating, that a boating vacation is one of the safest summer holiday options this year, especially in Croatia, which is considered to be one of the lowest-risk coronavirus countries. On top of that, this season is promising some unique nautical experience because the marine life has recovered a lot during the lockdown and less crowd is expected in tourist spots than usual.

To maximize safety during your yacht charter experience we have put in place some strict measures like reinforcing our already high standards for boat disinfection and implemented special procedures for keeping you and our personnel healthy.

To fully enjoy your summer experience onboard of your preferred boat we ask you to comply with the following safety measures:

  1. Always keep the required distance and avoid moving around in a group of more than 5 people and wear your mask when indoors
  2. Plan your trip in a way to find the shortest distance to your destination. For now, it is not allowed to make day trips, excursions, city trips, or other visits during your travel.
  3. As soon as you enter the Croatian territory, inform your charter company about your estimated arrival time. You will be instructed when you should arrive at the marina.
  4. Purchase your supplies prior to your arrival at the destination to avoid a long waiting period. A limited number of persons are allowed to enter the shops. It is recommended only 1-2 persons/crew members to go shopping. You can also have your groceries preordered, prepaid, and delivered straight to the boat. Place your order via our partner: JAM YACHT SUPPLY
  5. As soon as you arrive at the marina, inform your charter company by phone and wait for further instructions. After the invitation, a maximum of 2 persons can enter the reception.
  6. Settle all the payments via bank transfer or on-line before your arrival to the charter base. In case there is a need for payment in the base, make your credit card ready.
  7. When instructed to board the yacht, take all your belongings with you. Do not block the gate and board your yacht immediately. Check your yacht by the self-check-in application provided by a charter company. If needed, additional information can be provided by phone or exceptionally by the charter company staff in person.
  8. Plan your sailing route in a way to avoid large harbors or marinas. Sleep on anchor if the weather allows.
  9. Return the yacht at the predefined time. Upon return, wait on the boat for the instruction of the charter company staff.
  10. At any time, if you feel any symptoms or are suspicious about COVID 19, please call the emergency number 112, and notify your charter company.
  11. All the above mentioned procedures are mandatory by Croatian laws. You will find the full list of conduct for tourists in Croatia here.

Your safety and health during this tourist season is our top priority. But we can`t do it without your responsible conduct. Please help us and all other guests by following all the recommendations in this article and other procedures in place this year.

Hi!

Last week we rented the Sportski Vuk (Grand Soleil 37R). I would like to share that we really enjoyed sailing the boat.
The boat was in a good condition and the service of the crew was great. Kike responded very promptly on our questions while sailing.

See you again!

Hi Sandra, Hi Ratko, Hi everybody from NCP Charter,

We thank you a lot for this very nice sailing trip we made with Dufour 460 - "Get Lucky" from Sibenik around the astonishing Adriatic islands.
We have been very impressed by the quality of your organisation, and will keep preciously the memory of your kindness: please continue to do so!

If any of you come to France, keep our contact: we live in "Manche", where sailing is an other story, beautifull too...

Best regards, François ("bucket man"), Marion, Bastien, Emeline
